About Winter Jewelry — Custom Diamond Engagement Rings in Williamsville & Buffalo, NY

Winter Jewelry, founded in October of 1980 by Rick Winter, is celebrating a 45 year anniversary as a custom-design and manufacturer of fine jewelry. The company began strictly as a wholesale jeweler at Eastern Hills Mall providing repair work and customized finished jewelry to some of Western New York’s finest retail jewelers, including Zales, Jaccards, Sibley’s and Gordon Brothers. In 1983, Rick moved his operation to his home in North Tonawanda and began providing service directly to a retail clientele from his home office. Rick met customers there, by appointment only, for twenty years, where he designed and manufactured fine jewelry for people from throughout all of Western New York. The company’s focus then and now are diamond engagement rings and wedding bands.

In 2009, Rick’s son, Elliott Winter, became a full-time employee of the family business and has carried on the family tradition of providing attentive, personalized service for an ever-expanding jewelry clientele. Elliott manages the entire daily operation of Winter Jewelry now in our Williamsville office. In 2024, under Elliott’s leadership, Winter Jewelry was named the Buffalo News “Best of 716” in the retail jewelry category. Rick and Elliott cherish the relationships built and maintained throughout the WNY community and look forward to providing a quality fine jewelry experience to its customer base, both new and old.
